Rose water has been used for centuries for its good benefits and traces its origins back to ancient Persia. The hydrosol is a by-product of the distillation process of the essential oil and has a deep moisturizing effect on the upper skin layers, soothing and strengthening your skin. It helps restore the natural balance of sebum production and is a wonderful toner for oily skin and impurities. Due to its strengthening and toning properties, it also helps to refine pores and smooth the skin.

Always test it on a small area of ​​skin to be sure, if you have very sensitive skin. You can use rose water after cleansing as a toner, as a moisturizing spray on the face and body or in your hair. Rose water is also suitable in DIY lotions, masks, soap or shampoo instead of plain water.

TIP: For extra hydration, mix a little bit of glycerin with the rose water to retain extra moisture on the skin.

TIP: If you use water-soluble ingredients, such as plant hydrosols or Aloe Vera juice in a cream, also look for a preservative, such as Cosgard. Cosgard, also known as Geogard® 221, is a preservative and protects your homemade product against all kinds of yeasts, molds and bacteria.
